Torsten's origins are shrouded in mystery, but whispers and rumors paint him as a representative of the Old Clan. Although Torsten is an Anarch through and through, his loyalty to the movement is only due to the fact that they value the same things he does... for the most part. A hulking man, Torsten has been known to be mostly nomadic, showing up whenever conflict arises to lend his strength... for a price. Torsten values power in all its forms; physical, political, social, and he cares not if it comes at the cost of coming off as petty or vain. Torsten showed up in Montreal when he heard rumblings of a conflict arising between Sabbat stragglers and newly converted Anarchs who had been planning for a hostile take-over of the city.

Torsten fought along with Ezekiel and his allies, allies in which he would find mutual respect, and so when the Barony was established, Torsten chose to stay and, against all odds, joined the Severed Hand. ( Most thought he would join the Thracians ) While Torsten may seem the odd man out among the members of the Severed Hand, his cunning and sharp strategic mind have earned him a spot as one of the most influential Kindred within the new Barony.
